Humboldt Park Health Behavioral Medicine Units assist adult and senior populations in need of mental health services. The department is comprised of three units, a 24 bed adult unit; a 12 bed geriatric/special needs unit, and a 15 bed expansion unit which emphasizes treatment for patients with co-occurring disorders.

Our psychiatric units encompass a variety of services and clinical interventions for patients who are chronically mentally ill and those who may find themselves in crisis for the first time. These services include medication stabilization, therapeutic rehabilitative therapy and access to a licensed social worker for discharge planning. Our department philosophy is aligned with our hospital mission to provide quality and compassionate health care that is tailored specifically towards our population.
