About Ali Rafie-Safaie, D.C.
I was a ski instructor and while I was teaching a group of adults I tried to do an aerial maneuvers and hit the side of the mountain. At 18 I did not want to get surgery, I was referred to a chiropractor who save me from having my back cut open and within eight months I was able to function. It made me fall in love with chiropractic and wanted to help people with this art of medicine.
The most important thing for me is how the human body functions, how patients move, sit, stand and how they do their normal day-to-day routine. It is in those moments that you can see small inequalities in human’s functional balance. I look at my patients in motion and have them walk, sit, get up and move before and after my treatments.
I’ve been blessed to work with Dr. Goldflies for the last 20 years and I’ve learned how to look at a patient as a whole including their history, radiological finding and their daily function. It is with all these tools that I am able to understand how to find the best way to treat the patient. In most cases I refer patients to other providers that can assist with their knowledge and input.
I started treating people without insurance in 2005 at Saint Anthony’s hospital as a way to get back to the community and I’m still doing that today at Humboldt Park Health. If you need care but you cannot afford it I am here for you.
